The Budget rental truck has been unloaded, hundreds of bags have been stuffed and stacked, and today No-Till Farmer kicks off what will likely be another record-breaking National No-Tillage Conference at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Indianapolis.

It will be a very fast-paced and interesting conference again this year. Want to follow along? Our hash tag is #nntc13. Click here and you'll see plenty of photos and valuable nuggets of information to be posted on our Twitter page throughout the 4-day conference. Or check out our Twitter feed at www.No-TillFarmer.com.

Throughout this 4-day event we’ve got a strong lineup of speakers who will cover a large range of topics, from cover crops and fertilizer practices to precision farming and tips to boost yields in corn, soybeans and wheat.

We’ll also have a special event this year. Kentucky no-tillers John Young and his son, Alexander, will start things off this afternoon as they deliver the inaugural Harry Young Jr. Memorial Lecture. The lecture is made possible through the support of KB Seed Solutions.

As many of you know, Harry Young’s farm is considered to be the birthplace of no-till practices in the U.S. We’re deeply honored to have his son and grandson here to discuss what the family has learned through 50 years of no-tilling on their farm near Herndon, Ky.

This week’s conference will show, once again, that no-tillers are among the most progressive farmers in North America and we hope you’ll be following along.
