The 2017 Southern Soil Health Field Day is again being hosted by JRH Grain Farms of Catawba County, N.C. The day will begin with registration and a quick field trip in the morning to see corn and soybeans growing in the field with and without cover crops. Lunch will be provided buffet style. If you have any special needs for lunch, please let us know at registration. After lunch we will have keynote speakers talking about the benefits of soil health, direct marketing and reducing farm inputs to increase profits.

2017 is the year to farm for profits.

Keynote speakers should include Ray Archuleta, grazing specialist Gabe Brown and local farmer Russell Hedrick.

There will possibly be a Distillery Tour to the Foothills Distilery to see locally crafted spirits.
