New No-Till Planters Offer Split-Row “Lift And Lock” Benefits

New row units on the White 8000 series planters come with enhanced features to improve your no-tilling accuracy, reliability and usability. These items include new hoppers, seed-meter design, seed-trench openers, gauge-wheel arms, closing-wheel adjustment and overall accessibility.

“What we’ve done with the new 8000 series planters is to improve seeding consistency at the higher speed and rougher conditions that are common today and to make the planter easier to use and service,” says Joe Bozung, White planters general marketing manager.

The seed-trench opening system has been strengthened to enable you to no-till at faster speeds. The gauge-wheel assembly has also been beefed up and the double-disc seed trench openers are 20 percent thicker. A proven walking-beam, gauge-wheel design lets the units effectively handle no-till trash and large clods of soil while maintaining a more constant seeding depth.

Angled rubber closing wheels are easily adjusted from side to side without changing the wheels’ critical geometry in relation to the seed trench for better seed-to-soil contact and faster germination. An easy-to-read and use seed depth indicator lets you make quick changes from 1/2 to 4 inches as you move through your no-till fields.
