No-Tiller Receives 2023 Wisconsin Leopold Conservation Award
In this video, check out Noll’s Dairy Farm, which operates on 735 acres in Alma, Wis., and is the recipient of the 2023 Wisconsin Leopold Conservation Award. Mark Noll farms contour strips of corn, soybeans and oats with his brother Curtis and Curtis’ son Scott who manages their 115 dairy cows. Their operation improves soil health, water quality and wildlife habitat on a bluff above the Mississippi River.
Argentina Agronomist Stresses Importance of No-Till
In this webinar, the Global Farming Network invited Edgard Ramirez to speak on the benefits of no-till farming. Ramierez is an Argentinian agronomist, no-till private advisor and board member of the Argentinian No-Till Farmer Assn. (AAPRESID) who worked to introduce no-till technology to farmers in Ghana and Guinea.
No-Till Educators and Innovators Gather at Conservation Demonstration Farm

Weekly Virtual Meet-Ups Allow No-Tillers to Improve Conservation Practices
On January 18, 25 and February 1, One Good Idea is hosting Good Idea Shop Talks, a free, virtual meet-up for row crop and livestock farmers across the Midwest and mid-South who want to exchange ideas and troubleshoot challenges related to improving soil and water resources. Grants are also available to farmers who are implementing low-cost edge-of-field conservation practices.
