While glyphosate supplies could be tightening as a result of a mechanical error, a non-traditional supplier has obtained enough for the 2022 growing season, according to the Farm Journal.

The Farmers Bureau Network is a non-traditional ag supplier based on direct sales to farmers. When they weren't allowed to buy direct, they sought out alternative sources for some of the chemicals. Now, when Bayer is reporting that a precursor chemical for glyphosate is in short supply, the FBN is in a "comfortable" position, according to the report.

The news comes as supplies and costs for numerous other inputs are tightening and increasing ahead of the 2022 planting season.
