Klingenberg Farms, Inc or KFI is owned by the Klingenberg Family. The managers involved are the father Vernon, who is the CEO. Agronomy is managed by son Derek. The cattle side is managed by son Grant. KFI no-tills wheat, corn, and soybeans. The cattle are backgrounded on the home place. From there they are sent to grass in the Flint Hills and or fed in feed yards in Western Kansas. They also custom farm.

Derek and Grant Klingenberg are college graduates and likely could find an easier life and good-paying jobs in the business world. However, they both have come back to the family farm at Peabody, Kan., and have kept it going with the help of no-till.
