Steve Groff, The Cover Crop Coach, will be hosting a major field day on his farm in southern Lancaster County, Penn., to help farmers navigate the unknowns of growing hemp. Attendees will be able to see and experience the “Permanent Cover Cropping System” he uses on his 70 acres of CBD hemp production fields.

A line-up of amazing speakers provides an opportunity to learn from others within the hemp industry. Numerous demonstrations will take place throughout the day including:

• Rolling Cover Crops
• No-Till transplanting CBD hemp
• No-till direct seeding CBD hemp
• Testing for CBD and THC 

In addition, there will be a soil health demo, soil pit, and a hemp fiber plot to observe.

Plus, Pennsylvania Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Fred Strathmeyer will share an update on the status of hemp in Pennsylvania, and more than a dozen hemp-related exhibitors will be on hand to discuss their products, including Bryn Gohn’s winged sprint car! He’ll be talking about how hemp is making its way into racing.
