Researchers caution that the survey results, which include ranges and other information for specific services, should only be used as a guide, and point out that actual custom rates can vary widely within the state of Iowa, let alone among various states.

Wayne and Ruth Fredericks from Osage, Iowa, received the 2022 National Conservation Legacy Award from the American Soybean Association on March 11. Their 756-acre farm of corn and soybeans is in a no-till/strip-till rotation today after almost 50 years farming. 

The survey also broke down respondents by various demographics. College-educated consumers were the most likely to report they had heard of no-till farming at 23%. About 24% of surveyed male consumers said they were aware of no-till farming, as opposed to just 14% of women.
