With exact timing and placement, ExactShot is able to dose each individual seed with starter fertilizer as it is placed, saving on overall fertilizer use compared to continuous in-furrow application. This saves on both time re-filling the fertilizer as well as using less fertilizer overall further reducing input costs.

[Video] Deere's FurrowVision Brings Eyes of Operator into the Furrow

Jesse Haecker, Global Business Manager for Planting, Spraying & Nurture Business with John Deere showcases the company's new planter performance upgrade, FurrowVision. This new technology will allow growers to see exactly what is happening in the furrow without having to get out of the cab. The sensor employs lights, lasers and cameras to display a live feed of the furrow's seed depth and alert the farmer when it is not meeting their specifications. While currently in the validation and testing stage of development, FurrowVision is planned for limited availability as a kit as soon as 2024.
