No-Till Farmer editors encounter a variety of articles, social media posts, podcasts and videos that offer a unique look at the grower's world from the lofty digital realm. Here is our favorite content from the past week from across the web:

No-Till Scouting and Spraying

In this video, sixth-generation Minnesota farmer Carson scouts his strip-till and no-till soybean fields ahead of spraying them with his new sprayer. Carson plans to improve his residue management strategy before trying no-tilling again in the future. This year, Carson is also trying out Ratchet, a biological from Novonesis, that enhances photosynthesis and sugar production.

Healthy Soils and High Yields

In this episode of The Whole Farm Podcast, Michael Pisciotta and Les Riley sit down with Russell Hedrick, a first-generation farmer from Hickory, N.C., and one of the most progressive young farmers in the country. Russell shares how he got started with no-till and cover crops, how he began setting biological baselines on his farm in 2013 and how those practices eventually helped him set a North Carolina soybean record in 2021 and a dryland corn record in 2022 with more than 459 bushels per acre.

Moisture Retention Comparison

Australian farmer, Brad, checks the soil moisture between one of his fields with no soil cover and another field that has straw residue. With marginal rainfall in the area, the Jackson Brothers utilize no-till to help retain soil moisture. The brothers continue spraying and planting in this video.

Planting 2026 Complete!

Go Farming With Kels as she wraps up planting 2026! On their no-till and strip-till farm in Minnesota, Kels and her dad grow corn and soybeans. Kels shares details about their planter, tractor, fertilizer spreader and daily life on the farm!

Residue Management in No-Till

No-till soybean growers are always looking for ways to improve seedbed conditions without disturbing the soil. In this episode of RealAgriculture's Soybean School, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness soybean specialist Horst Bohner visits Lucknow, Ont., brothers Lawrence Hogan and Steve Howard to see how they use a modified 16-row row-clearing unit from Quebec-based Ferme L & H Lamoureux to create an ideal planting strip for soybeans while maintaining the benefits of a long-term no-till system.
