At Sadala Agro OÜ farm in Estonia, farmers, scientists and advisors came together for a demo day on climate-smart farming practices. As part of the Climate Farm project, the event showcased practical solutions to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. Highlights included grass strips on Ahti Kalde’s fields, boosting biodiversity, reducing soil erosion and attracting pollinators. The project is called 'Nature rich Estonia. The event also showcased cover crops and green manure, improving soil fertility, holding nutrients, suppressing weeds and supporting healthier soils. Finally, attendees saw modern machinery demonstrations with precision no-till seeders, showing how technology supports climate-smart farming.
