A few years ago, northwest Iowa farmers and childhood friends Nick Sennert, Jessob Steffen and Neil Krummen decided to help each other out with harvests. That experience went so well, they started doing all harvests together. Eventually, they sold their smaller machinery to collectively purchase larger equipment. Today, though each has his own farm, they work together to farm regeneratively using diversified rotations, cover crops, reduced tillage, decreased nitrogen and other synthetic inputs, and livestock integration.
Join Nick, Jessob and Neil as they share their story of partnership and working collaboratively to build resilience on their farms. You’ll learn the benefits of extending your rotation as you examine oats and buckwheat in the field and view a shared air seeder and combine with a pick-up head.
