Start Right 2.0: Where Purpose Meets Performance

There have been a number of defining moments contributing to AgBio Logic’s success in providing biological biostimulants to the agricultural sector. One of which came in 2016 when Beck’s Hybrids initiated its PFR Proven (practical farm research) product list. For a product to receive that designation it has to have 3 years of a positive ROI (return on investment). Start Right made the initial list with 4 positive years of ROI at that time (see Figure 1 & 2).

In 2019, AgBio Logic introduced Start Right 2.0. It is its third formulation for a soil applied product at planting for corn. That year Continuum Ag based in Washington, Iowa and a national leader in soil health conducted a study comparing Start Right, Start Right 2.0 and an untreated check. The results showed Start Right 2.0 increased yield 19.6 bushels over Start Right and 27.6 bushels over the untreated check (see Figure 3). That is what a biostimulant can do.

Neal Herr from Forest, Ind., was one of the first users of Start Right 2.0. “I have used Start Right 2.0 on every acre since its onset,” he says. “For 2 seasons I completed side-by-side test using Start Right (the predecessor to Start Right 2.0) at 1 quart per acre with 4.5 gallons per acre of 28%.” The results showed an average gain of 8-10 bushels per acre yielding an average net ROI of approximately $30-$40 an acre.
