ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT. When there wasn’t room on the home farm, Tyler started his own custom combining business. A Family Farm Aiming for ‘Regenerational’ No-Till Success

For these Montana growers, nurturing the next generation of farm leaders is as important as managing soils & crops

TAKEAWAYS

  • Nurturing the passions of the next generation is essential to sustainability.
  • Diverse crop rotation breaks up weed and disease cycles.
  • Tissue and SAP testing allows for real-time analysis of plant needs.

The average age of the 9 people working with us during the 2025 farming season was 26 years old, which is truly an anomaly in an increasingly aging agricultural world.

We consider inspiring and encouraging development and independence in the next generation of farmers to be a duty and a blessing. It’s a service for our children and to the future of agricultural production.

Farming is inherently generational. It’s a hard industry because there is so much knowledge you gain simply by growing up on a farm. There are successful first-generation farmers, but they must work hard to seek knowledge, build capital and be successful. As we have watched our children grow, we’re simply floored by their capabilities, their responsiveness and their ability to hold themselves accountable.
