2013 NNTC Audio Presentation

Adaptations That Make No-Till Work Better (NNTC 2013 Presentation) - MP3 Download

$19.95

Product Details

Jacob Farms in central Kansas has been in continuous no-till since 2000, but Ryan Speer says the farm adapts each year to changing economic and environmental conditions. In this presentation, the Sedgwick, Kan., no-tiller shows how they have diversified their crop rotation, including the use of cover crops; promoted higher residue levels; reduced ground disturbance; and strived for permanent ground cover to improve yields and profitability.

Speer outlines newer technologies that have increased efficiencies at Jacob Farm. He also shares how cover crops and permanent ground cover have improved soil conditions and yields while lowering input costs, all while buffering the effect Mother Nature has on farming operations.
