2013 NNTC Audio Presentation

Lessons Learned On Keeping Soil, Nutrients, Water In Your Fields (NNTC 2013 Presentation) - MP3 Download

$19.95

Product Details

The Eagle Creek Watershed supplies the drinking water for the city of Indianapolis. The practices of farmers in that watershed — as well as many farmers in vital watersheds throughout the U.S. — are being monitored closely for their impact on the environment.

Robert Barr, a researcher with the Center for Earth & Environmental Sciences at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, has conducted 6 years of monthly water-quality sampling to see the impact of conservation practices on water quality. In this presentation, he shares how no-till, cover crops, drainage management and soil amendments are positively influencing the watershed, and how these practices might benefit your farm and image among the general public.
