Barry Fisher serves as the Central Region Soil Health Team Leader for the NRCS, where he provides Soil Health Management Systems technical leadership, training and assistance to NRCS, farmers and partners throughout the Corn Belt and Northern Plains. Fisher was recently recognized as one of the 25 Living Legends of No-Till at the 2017 National No-Tillage Conference and was presented the Conservation Legacy Award from NRCS. He is also a Certified Crop Advisor and has been employed with the USDA for 36 years. With his wife, Michael, Fisher also operates a cash grain and livestock farm in Indiana. He holds a B.S. in Agriculture with emphasis in Agronomy from Western Kentucky University.
