NNTC 2015 Speaker Presentation

Putting The Effort Into High-Yielding No-Till Soybeans - Brian Kitterman - NNTC 2015 Presentation - MP3 Download

$19.95

Product Details

While many farmers shortchange their efforts with no-tilled soybeans, Brian Kitterman has gone all in on 5,200 acres at Harford City, Ind. The field manager for Kline Family Farms has been no-tilling twin-row soybeans on 30-inch centers for 10 years.

He will share how the farm has reduced seeding rates while improving seeding depth and stand uniformity, and how the 22-inch spacing between rows allows them to make multiple post passes for herbicide and foliar feeding without stand reductions. Kitterman will also share some insights into their strip-till corn system and how they engage with landlords on the value of no-till and strip-till to get the upper hand on the competition for land rental.
