Putting Fencerow Farming To Work On Your Farm (NNTC 2013 Presentation) - MP3 Download

Product Details

By planting continuously on exactly the same row year after year, Dean Glenney says the soil has time to regenerate itself and create a perfect soil structure that can support incredible yields. The Dunnville, Ontario, no-tiller calls his technique “Fencerow Farming” because he’s striving for soil conditions similar to undisturbed soils found in fencerows.

In this presentation, Glenney shares how his system of zero soil disturbance helps soil conditions by not disrupting the work of earthworms and other soil biology. He finds that crop roots go deeper, more nutrients are released and water is stored and used more effectively each year. As a result, he’s seen corn yields at nearly 300 bushels per acre and soybeans better than double the county average.
