Creating Polycultures That Make No-Till Productive (NNTC 2012 Presentation) - MP3 Download

$19.95

Product Details

Gabe Brown will share his experience on how he has been able to eliminate the use of commercial fertilizer and cut herbicide use by more than 50% while seeing his yields increase. In fact, the Bismarck, N.D., no-tiller says that in 2010, the cost to produce and market a bushel of corn on his farm was only $1.51 per bushel! He does that with the use of polyculture cover crops.

The zero-tiller says these cover crops feed soil life, which, in turn, supply the nutrients for his cash crop. He’ll talk about how specific cover-crop mixes address his resource concerns and add the diversity needed to move his operation toward sustainability.
