Individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the growth and advancement of no-till were honored as No-Till Innovators during the 27th annual National No-Tillage Conference in Indianapolis, Ind.
Meade McDonald, product marketing lead for insecticides at Syngenta, talks about how the new formulation of Force 6.5G insecticide allows corn growers to get across nearly twice the acres as the old formulation and where no-tillers might find the best payoff with using a granular corn insecticide.
Force 6.5G can be applied through a wide variety of existing “open” system granular application equipment. Other improvements include a 50% lower dust-off rate, compared to Force 3G, and a 20-acre bag.

Matt Wolters, marketing manager for SureFire Ag, unveils the 3rd-generation model of the QuickDraw 3000 at the 2019 Farm Progress Show. The system includes carrier blending for 3 products, a 10” screen that’s 6 times brighter than the previous model, iPad app for remote display and remote start batch, and auto batch calculation for easier chemical mixing and loading of the sprayer.
