Kinze Questions And Guiding A First-Time No-Tiller

Veteran no-tillers offer their advice about Kinze planters while a rookie seeks help with a rough field.

Kinze Concerns.

I have a Kinze 2600 with pushers and am looking at going to liquid nitrogen instead of anhydrous ammonia. What kind of fertilizer openers will fit and what modifications, if any, are required?

Also, I’m looking at using Ag Spectrum’s complete system. They say that if you follow their complete package and have decent fertility levels to start with, you shouldn’t need to apply much fertilizer. This seems hard to grasp when all the university studies suggest you need a certain amount of phosphorus and potassium for a bushel of grain.


I don’t have a Kinze no-till planter but I have looked into what you’re talking about. You will have a weight problem with the tanks, openers, pumps, etc. There are some short-line companies making tank setups but Kinze does not advise going that route.
