It depends on your next crop- I like to follow a grass with a broadleaf, or broadleaf with a grass, if possible. If you haven't ran the zone builder already, broadcasting a cover with a fert spraeder is usually the cheapest route. If you think you can count on an inch or two of rain within 2 weeks of spreading, I think you'll get a nice stand, especially if you run the zone builder after seeding.I have used rur soys as a cover, and had very good luck. Check with your seed supplier, I have bought soy seed VERY cheap this time of year. We plant from group 2 to group 3 beans, and have bought treated rur group 4 or 5 soys for a little more than freight. Wet them down a bit to prevent cracking, spread em on.
