I have started no-tilling a field next to my yard. A maple tree has seeded  in my soy bean field. I have sprayed them twice with roundup and they are still surviving. I live in Central Missouri. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Larry, join the crowd. Tree seedlings are a constant problem in no-till in our area of eastern Kansas. It will not prevent you from no-till, as I have dealt with it for nearly 40 years. We have locust trees as well as maple, cottonwood and many others that encroach in many of our fields that have trees along the borders.  We use 2,4-D + glyphosate in our burndown mix to help with the problem. It will control many of them and at least severely set back the rest of them enough that you can still retain the benefits of no-till. Grant
