Some of our corn is about 3-4 ft tall and is drying up and will not make corn, but we just received some good rainfall and it is greening backup. I want to plant HR winter wheat this fall and want to conserve the moisture. Any ideas on killing the remaining corn without spending a lot of dollars? I do not want to cultivate - the land is long-term no-till. I thought about running some type of roller and breaking the stalks right at the ground which I assume would kill the plant. Not enough tonnage to mess with silage or even baling. Ideas?

Sorry for your loss. We've been there, done that too. Your idea of rolling would probably work. Also there are several herbicides out there that would take out corn. Poast, Select Max, lots of generics and also glyfo's if it is not RR. Good luck. Marv.
