I had to dig a hole in some ground that had not been farmed for about 15-20 years. Out of curiosity I wanted to look at the root pit. Knife pulled very easy all the way up!

No kidding! That is why we all should dig pits on our farms and find someone who knows soil pit zones to explain what has happened over the years.
