Cover Crops at Todd Mooberry's Farm in Fall 2011: Lowpoint, Ill
This fall, Lowpoint, Ill., strip-tiller Todd Mooberry tried cover crops for the first time. Mooberry had a mix of annual ryegrass and crimson clover flown onto 600 acres of standing corn, which he later strip-tilled.

He is doing O K. Usually, when the wagon runs where the knife has gone, if it isn't sealed well, you will see smoke escaping

Dennis, maybe he's actually doing it correctly, and not turning on the gas until the knives are in the ground. Seeing "puffs" means you're wasting ammonia and polluting the air.

looks good but seen from Europe flying it on seems spendy we just put an air seeder on the row cultivator and seed some annual ryegrass under the corn and it seems to work pretty good
