		<description>Randall - It is maybe a good thing John didn&#039;t invent Round Up in the 1830&#039;s.  By now our soil zinc and manganese would be completely tied up.  I suppose somebody (maybe John) would have invented something to sell us to solve the problem.

		<description>Ohio and Virginia had no-till research starting in 1960. Research plots at Wooster and Hoytville, Ohio, have been continuous since about 1962. OSU Agronomists Dave Van Doren and Glover Triplett, and ag. engineer Bill Johnson were the researchers who made it work. 

John Deere was kinda dragged into no-till in the mid-1980s with the introduction of the 750 no-till drill. 

What John Deere invented was the use of steel on the moldboard because it was way slicker than cast iron. Just imagine how farming would have been different, if instead of the steel moldboard plow in the 1830s, he had invented Round Up.</description>
